Crescent Victorious At ISA Midlands U11 Football

05 Nov

Crescent School is celebrating after winning its third ISA Midlands Football Trophy this term. The U11 Football team were just unstoppable at this year's ISA Midlands U11 Football Tournament, taking the Gold medal and earning themselves a place at the Nationals later this year.

The team set out with a very clear mission on Monday 3 November; to secure a top four finish in the Midlands ISA competition and qualify for the Nationals at St George's Park, the home of English football.  Not only did our fantastic squad accomplish this by winning seven out of their eight morning games and topping their group, they then went on to win all three of their afternoon medal matches too, including a thrilling final against Crackley Hall, to finish in first place out of the 18 teams competing at the event.

The whole team played fast-paced, electrifying football, passing the ball fluidly, and getting stronger and stronger with each match. An enormous well done to the whole squad who all played their part fantastically. They were unbeaten on the day, with joint players of the tournament going to Alfie for his excellent shot stopping and distribution in goal, and Kian for his fantastic finishing, bagging 17 goals over the day. Bring on the ISA Nationals!
