Leavers Returned For This Year's Barnaby Football Tournament

Crescent School gave a warm welcome to the Leavers of 2025 on Friday 24 April when they returned to their old primary school to take part in this year’s Barnaby Football Tournament.
Many of Barnaby’s classmates have stayed within the Foundation and now attend Princethorpe College while others have moved on to different schools. It was lovely to see all their familiar faces and to catch up with all their news. We also welcomed our existing Crescent community who turned out in force to support our annual Barnaby Football Tournament. Sport is such a huge part of life here at Crescent, and it was wonderful to see the camaraderie of all the pupils.
Out on the school fields, everyone had fun with the mixed year House teams taking on each other in turns.
The tournament itself was a very close-run thing with the Red team winning the junior event and the Blue team winning the senior. That meant that the overall winner of this year's Barnaby Bear Tournament was decided on goal difference, which the Blues just shaded by four goals and retained the trophy for a third year running. Barnaby was a blue, so no doubt he would have approved.
