Summer Concert Celebrates Music At Crescent School

01 Jul

Crescent School's Key Stage 2 Summer Concert was a well-attended event with the school hall packed with parents and family members eager to enjoy the end of year celebration of fine music and song.

Brass Group opened the concert confidently playing the popular theme to Pirates of the Caribbean followed by a rousing rendition of 500 Miles. That was followed by plenty of toe-tapping performances from the school’s music groups interspersed with lots of individual solos from the school's many talented musicians. Flute Group played their new piece New Horizons debuted at our Garden Party earlier this week. The choirs sang beautifully, first separately and then harmoniously together and the concert concluded with the whole school singing a rousing performance of Nearly At The End.

It truly was a sensational afternoon of music. Our thanks and congratulations go to all Crescent School's accomplished performers who took to the stage in front of their proud parents and, of course, to all their teachers and especially to Director of Music, Jo Westlake, for her work to share and showcase music here at Crescent School.
