ISA Cross Country Fun At Ashley Manor

22 Jan

Crescent School had a fantastic day at the Regional ISA Midlands Cross Country on Tuesday 20 January with two pupils finishing in the top 10 in their race.

Hosted at a new venue in Cheltenham (Ashley Manor School), the course proved exciting and challenging with a long climb near the start that was draining on the legs, and at one point, an almost vertical short hill climb.

Crescent took 32 runners from Years 3 to 6 who enthusiastically tackled the course's twists and turns with courage and determination. Many congratulations go to Isabel T and Kian G, our top 10 finishers. We now wait to hear who will go forward to the ISA Nationals, which this year take place on Saturday 28 February at Himley Hall in Derbyshire.

Crescent also performed well in the team events (top five runners count). Crescent secured overall second place for the U11 Boys, fourth for the U11 Girls and U9 Girls and eighth for the U9 Boys.

Commenting on the event, Head of PE and Games, Rachel McCollin, said, “As always, the children made us very proud, upholding our Crescent values. Every student gave their all, showing determination, sportsmanship and school spirit.”
