Pupils Perform The Nativity Beautifully
This year’s Nativity took place on Thursday 4 December and starred Reception and Year 1 who together performed A Bundle Of Joy.
The simple musical told the traditional nativity story of the journey to Bethlehem, the search for a room at the inn, the birth of baby Jesus and the visits of the shepherds and wise men. The two classes transformed into the nativity cast with a multitude of angels, shepherds, sheep, travellers, kings, camels and innkeepers, together with Mary, Joseph and a very grumpy donkey.
The children really enjoyed learning all the songs and dances that help tell the story of the birth of Jesus and Grumble’s realisation that life isn’t so bad after all. Their final performance was a marvellous spectacle.
Headmaster, Joe Thackway, commented, "It went very, very well. We are so proud of all our children, they performed brilliantly.”
It was a wonderful start to the exciting final few weeks of term.
