Team GB Athlete Josh Faulds Visits Crescent School

Josh has competed internationally in the 400m Hurdles and was the European Indoor Championships Bronze medallist in the Mixed 4x400m Relay earlier this year. He is also a former pupil of Head of PE and Games, Mrs McCollin, who had organised for Josh to visit the school to speak to the children in assembly for National Sports Week.

Josh spoke about becoming a professional athlete, sharing his journey from multi sports enthusiast at school through the English Schools’ competitions and on to representing Team GB. He talked about the hard work, training and persistence professional sports requires, he spoke about his role models and inspirations and then generously answered the children’s questions. He even allowed the children to handle his medals which they treated with much admiration.
