Pupils Enjoy Maths Week England

17 Nov

It was Maths Week England from Monday 13 to Friday 17 November and Crescent School enjoyed joining in this national celebration of the importance of maths.

In school all week, pupils took part in exciting maths activities and challenges to help them appreciate how much maths is a part of our everyday lives. They discovered that maths can be found all around them and that maths can be an awful lot of fun.

Deputy Head, Ms Forth had organised an amazing Interhouse Maths Trail and KS2 pupils put their maths skills to good use as they solve numerical questions and challenges all around the school. Pupils also took part in the Times Table Rock Stars special Maths Week Challenge, then there were maths challenge posters in the Cosy Corner at lunchtimes and we had plenty of entries for the ‘Maths Is An Art Form’ competition, featuring the magical number 3.

We hope everyone enjoyed finding out that there is far more to maths than just calculations and tests!
